Butler County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Services Board Seeks New Member


Fairfield, OH - The Butler County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Services Board is seeking an applicant for an opening to serve on the board of directors.  The Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Services Board is a public agency governed by 18 unpaid volunteers who must be 18 years old, live in Butler County, and be interested in public mental health and/or addiction recovery services.

Board members typically serve appointed terms of 4 years and are eligible to be reappointed to a second 4-year term.

The Board meets monthly and conducts its work through several committees.

The current opening is for a county appointment, approved by the Butler County Commissioners.  In addition to the above qualifications, individuals who meet the following criteria are especially encouraged to apply:  (1) a primary consumer of mental health services and/or addiction recovery services, (2) a family member of a primary mental health service/addiction recovery service consumer, (3) a licensed psychiatrist, (4) a qualified mental health or addiction recovery professional (other than a psychiatrist) and (5) minorities.  The Board emphasizes diversity in its membership.
